MircoWorks

This weeks concept was 'mircoworks'. For this concept we use figures or toys or dolls and put them in a "real-life" like scene to make the story come to life. At first, for this assignment, i used the toy knights and tried to put them into a fighting scene using a computer background. What i could have done more with that would be trying to use more angles on the figures. The second theme i tried to do was a Star-Wars type theme, but i could never get the brightness of the computer to work well. The last thing i did for this concept was with plastic frogs. I think the shots i did with the frogs were not only the best, but also the most amusing. For the frog shots i went outside and used the area under a tree. I tried to make the most life-like scenes.

  1. Interesting pictures although I don't see any story in the frog photos.

  7. I think you do a great job here not only focusing on different photographic approaches, but also conveying a distinct theme in every image. I really like how you were able to work with a different background in the second image, and you stepped away from natural backgrounds.

  8. i really like your first three photos. they have great backgrounds and tell a story. i think the frog ones are interesting and im all for repetition but it feels a little worn out by the end. i do like that you put it in its natural habitat, making the viewer walk the line of truth and illusion, nature and man made

  9. I love the second photo's lighting and mood. You did a great job on keeping the background realistic, but also unidentifiable. I thought the frog photos were a little repetitive, but looked really great.

  10. The frog pictures all look realistic! my favorite picture is the third black and white one of the soldiers. It conveys a sense of motion and the black and white helped enhance the overall tone of the picture.
