For my second draft of my series, I tried to perfect my pictures using Mathew Brady's style of photography. In my second draft, images are more clear, stable, and in better quality by fixing easy-to-fix techniques. Once again, i was trying to capture my view of important people in the Drew School community. By incorporating Brady's sense of portraits in my mind, I feel like i have accomplished my goal in this assignment.

ReplyDeleteThis is a really strong second draft exploring Matthew Brady's style of photography. I think your images are more clear and better quality, but one thing I would work on is conveying a certain mood through facial expressions. I think you should try showing how these people are important, rather than a presentation of them (the last image in this series is more mysterious and presents emotion).
ReplyDeleteGood job Hadley. Nice improvement in this draft. You're clearly emulating Brady's style. The exposure in the two portraits of Anthony are much better than the others; they look really great.
ReplyDeleteGood job Hadley. All of your photos are great but I especially like the two of Anthony. Also, all of these photos are a lot more clear.
ReplyDeleteReally good second draft. One suggestion is to experiment with the lighting and contrast as to get a better result in capturing the people's facial expressions.
ReplyDeletevery nice photos. i think the first one is the best.
ReplyDeleteNice photos Hadley! I think you've accomplished this set extremely well. I really appreciate how you've captured the true emotions and character of each of your models. Just by the face expressions it is almost easy to relate to each one of your photos. My particular favorite is your last photo. I really like the emotion and expression that is being conveyed. I think you did a great job!
ReplyDeleteThese are nice crisp pictures that definitely give off an important vibe. They remind me of portraits of important or significant people from different eras. Good job.
