For this set of photos, i was trying to convey the concept of motion in single shot pictures. For these photos i thought black and white would work best for all of them. I took all of these photos around school. I tried to use people in this set as much as I could. Motion on Motion. The photos that are not in B&W are the photos that use the concept of light in motion. We used a glow stick in a dark room and various people would swing the glow stick basically painting a picture on a picture.
There's some cool stuff here. This is a good start to exploring motion and usages of shutter speed. However, I might look for a little more variety in the shots for your next draft.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great start to motion and I really like how it leaves the viewer searching for detail in order to understand the subject. The way each image is organized into dark and light motion provides each image with a specific mood and theme. One thing I would focus on is not blowing out the whites because it makes it hard to understand what the image is portraying. Great Job!

ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed your last three photos. i think that they are shot very well. i also think they do an amazing job of showing the motion of light.
i really like how you used black and white in these pictures. the ambiguity around the objects in the pictures helps convey a sense of motion. I also think your light painting pictures are cool but could benefit from a pitch black room.

ReplyDeleteI really like all of your photos! You have a very wide variety of different and unique styles of incorporating motion into your photographs. I especially like your first photo with the flower. Shooting it with motion portrays a very interesting feel and looks like the flower pedals are overlapping.
